A set of cushions made from faux suede. It was the first time i'd ever made piping from scratch, it takes up a massive amount of material as it all has to be cut on the 'bias' It was good practise though for when i eventually get round to reupholstering the boat interior. The reciepient was quite chuffed with them.
A few hats. The dennis the meance one and bottom right red and white one were for children, but sadly the latter was too small even for a baby, that is the risk when not following a pattern of any sort! The pink hat i recently knitted for myself, it's a fab felt wool mix, incredibly soft to handle and in moss stitch knits up very warm. The unfinished piece i haven't decided what to turn it into yet. I call this freestyle knittting ;-)
Despite working out how to upload an image into my title space i have not discovered how to get rid of the original blog title, so have changed it for the moment to 'Z' ...it's the least intrusive. Actually the title image is only half the original picture, it does have some colour in it further down, but i quite like the cheeky zebra eyes just peeping out there. One day i will get my head round the css stuff, i keep telling myself ;-)
I'm concentrating on the garden for the next few weeks and i've got a curtain pelmet to finish covering. The purpose of this blog is a self arse kick really. If i dont post very often it's beacuse im getting on with the doing, rather than blogging, or i'll simply be procrastinating elsewhere..
